McCrea Land Surveying, Inc. uses the Geodimeter 4400 electronic and Topcon 802AR total stations, along with a Topcon Hyper-Lite GPS system to collect field data or to transfer the designs, using the collected data, onto the job site with the required accuracy to fulfill the customer’s requirements. Throughout my 20 years experience in surveying and engineering I have realized the importance of applying strict standards when data is collected in the field then processed into electronic drawings. It is important the designer have information in clear, concise and manageable layers. Our Eagle Point Software has been configured to use the National CAD Standards format to create the symbols and line work in a layering system that is very easy to manage and understand within an AutoCAD drawing. For additional information regarding the National CAD Standards please refer to www.nationalcadstandard.org. An option is also available to process the field data in Microsurvey to create a Micro Station drawing. Documents are provided in printed form and, if requested, provided in softcopy as either AutoCAD 2004 (based on National CAD standards) or Micro Station format.
